Beginnings to Present Day
KGS is a
family-owned business that began over 30 years ago when founder Mike Mardo drove through the ice and snow to hand-deliver his first holiday shop to a local
elementary school during the Christmas/Hanukkah season. That first shop was made up of a few different gifts that children could buy for their family members to
surprise them on the holidays. The shop was a great success and, as word gradually spread from school to school, KGS began to grow and build our reputation as a
trusted holiday shop supplier for schools across the country.
KGS's commitment to providing an outstanding holiday shop experience for our children and their parents has allowed us to grow into America's leading holiday shop program. Over the years, we have provided gifts for over six million students in all 50 states. In 2018, we serviced schools in 43 different states and even shipped our custom-packed holiday shop to schools in England and Germany.
